Foreign students from outside the EU are required to have

How to apply for a Residence Card?

In order to apply for a temporary residence card in Poland it is necessary to submit two copies of the
application before your visa expires. Student may come to International Office in order to print and
fill in the application. The application can be sent by regular post to the address of the Voivodeship
Office in Katowice with acknowledgement of receipt. Then, you will have to wait some time for the
meeting and when your time comes you will have to present the complete set of documents required
by the Voivodeship Office (some of them will be issued by the University).
Foreigners who intend to apply for a stay in Katowice are requested to make a booking of
their appointment via the Internet reservation system http://rezerwacja.slask.eu – to the service
Information and Advice Centre for Foreigners. During the visit to such Centre, the officer will
check if you have collected and correctly completed all of the necessary documents.
The documents sent to you by the Voivodeship Office will arrive at the address of your residence
that you provided in your application.
