W artykule przedstawiono podstawy prawne funkcjonowania Państwowej Komisji Badania Wypadków
Kolejowych oraz jej zadania i uprawnienia. Przedstawiono także strukturę organizacyjną Komisji. Dzia-
łalność Komisji to prowadzenie badań poważnych wypadków i zdarzeń kolejowych. Artykuł zawiera do-
kumentację fotografi czną i omówienie ważniejszych incydentów kolejowych z ostatnich lat.

TASKS AND INFORMATION FROM THE ACTION OF THE STATE RAIL-
WAY ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION COMMISSION

The article presents the legal basis for the functioning of the State Railway Accident Investigation
Commission and its task and entitlements. The organizational structure of the Commission was also
shown. The activities of the Commission is conducting studies of serious railway accidents. The paper
present the photo documentation and discusses the more important railway incidents from recent years.
