The Conference is centered around a discussion of the legal conditions of property confiscation in Poland and its possible restitution. The discussion will involve different views of professionals and academics (both Polish and foreign) as well the representatives of state and local authorities. Discussions are to be organized in such a way as to ensure presentation of a broad scope of relevant views, i.e. those that support the restitution of confiscated property as well as those who are critical or oppose it.

This event will be the first-ever academic conference held in Poland on this important and timely topic. The proceedings of the conference will be published in 2018 in the academic journal Loyola International and Comparative Law Review.
